New collaboration with DEMO S.A.

New collaboration The Science Support with DEMO S.A.

It is with great pleasure and pride that we announce that we have successfully completed the installation of three state-of-the-art and fully equipped protein chromatography systems of the manufacturing company Cytiva, in the Research and Development (R&D) department of DEMO S.A., the most prestigious Greek pharmaceutical company, at its facilities in Kryoneri, Attica.

This project marks the beginning of a new collaboration with DEMO S.A. aiming at the production of monoclonal antibodies (MABs) and new biosimilars – part of DEMO’s investment plan to establish itself as one of the leading producers of injectable pharmaceuticals in Europe.

Specifically, we installed two protein chromatography systems ÄKTA avant 25 and one ÄKTA avant 150, which will be used by the highly trained scientific team of DEMO S.A. in downstream processing (DSP) of biological molecules with pharmaceutical action.

Along with the installation, our partners from the manufacturing company Cytiva, provided comprehensive user training in chromatographic column filling and control techniques, columnpacking training and downstream processing of monoclonal antibodies.

We wish to thank both the teams of scientists and the development and support department of the new laboratories of DEMO S.A. for their trust and excellent cooperation.

Finally, special thanks to our partners Richard Feike, Max Mayr and Stephan Pӧtsch for their help and guidance throughout the complete project and the excellent training seminars they offered.
