We, at The Science Support, would like to extend our gratitude to all our customers and partners who visited our Stand at the 23rd Panhellenic Chemistry Conference, entitled “Chemistry for a Better World”.
The Conference, which occurred on 25-28 September at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, had an anniversary character since the Association of Greek Chemists celebrated 100 years of life and activity.
The conference provided an excellent opportunity for younger scientists to get acquainted with future trends and perspectives of chemistry in a multidisciplinary environment. The topics of the conference included Analytical Chemistry – Quality Control, Inorganic and Bioinorganic Chemistry, Biochemistry – Biotechnology – Clinical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Green Chemistry – Chemical Technology – Chemical Engineering, Food and Nutrition, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Physical and Theoretical Chemistry, Chemistry and Education, Chemistry and Environmental Technology, Chemistry and Polymer Technology, Materials Chemistry and Nanotechnology.
At a time when humanity is already facing harsh face of challenges due to overpopulation, climate change, epidemics, resource depletion and so many others, chemistry as a central science of life and nature is called upon to play a central, timely and urgent role in addressing these challenges. At the same time, scientists are called upon to put the brakes on the indiscriminate use of chemistry, which often leads to undesirable results, and to focus on “Green Chemistry” and its contribution to the sustainable development of humanity.
